Jamie Markley

Your hometown: Knoxville, Il

First job: Bailing Hay, Detassling Corn

Last job before radio: Musicland sales clerk 1st concert:Def Leppard, August 19, 1983 Civic Center. They played pretty much all of Pyromania and High N' Dry. Freaking awesome.

What is your dream weekend?

Friday afternoon Cubs/Cards game with my Dad, Brother and Sister at Wrigley, then meet up with my old buddies for a White Stripes/Shinedown/Iron Maiden triple bill, then take my wife to Whistling Straights in Kohler Wisconsin. We stay up late, have room service deliver breakfast, go play the Straights course (my all-time favorite golf course) and meet up with our pals Damon Johnson and Alice Cooper, play 18 holes with caddies, have delicious food in their awesome clubhouse while we talk about all things rock, golf, and guitars, then Melissa and I go back to the hotel with all the Kohler spa stuff, get simultanious massages, then well, no need to state the obvious. A little nap, then a great steak candlelight dinner, more "activity", stay up late. Huge breakfast buffet Sunday morning, go to church with a duel message from Bill Allison and Charlie Dean, and Lincoln Brewster is the musical guest with no ballads on the playlist. Melissa and I then meet up with our kids at a giant Waterpark on an 85 degree day with no lines. Then all of our friends and family are together for a massive barbeque and Joey D. is the guest DJ. Yeah, I think that'll do.

One materialistic thing you can't live without: Direct TV

Favorite car you ever owned:1988 Firebird Formula, Black with red interior, T-Tops (of course)

Bad habit or vice: Quit drinking, quit smoking...uh, worst habit right now is forgetting to take ADD medication. (funny, right?)

Favorite band ever: it changes all the time....right now I'd say Led Zep

Best vacation ever: Riviera Maya, Mexico. My wife and I for 4 days and no cell service. Incredible.

Favorite night spot: Bedroom

Most embarassing moment: so many it's ridiculous...one that comes to mind is going down the Bonzai water slide head first at Wacky Waters in the Quad Cities when I was 18. It was one of those "drop straight down" slides and the rush of water at the bottom took my trunks to my ankles in front of two different girls I wanted to date. I'm on my stomach, the trunks are all tangled up, I gotta roll over on my back, my shriveled up junk is all exposed and I can't for the life of me get those trunks up. People (including my buddies) are laughing the heads off and the horror seemed to last forever. I finally just stood up to get 'em untangled and back up. Never got a date with either girl.

What is the one piece of advice you have been given that you have actually followed in life? Go see a councelor

What game show do you think you would be a good contestant on? Rock N' Roll Jeopardy

What Web site do you visit every day? pjstar.com (seriously)

If you could be one famous guitarist (who is currently alive) for a day, who would it be and why? Slash, because I could jam with a bunch of different people, and I'd have all my hair back.

You seem to have a rep as something of a family man. But what is the most irresponsible thing you've ever done? (Maybe something you hope your kids never do!) Sign a contract to do a show with Phil Luciano.

Phil Luciano

What is your dream weekend? Chicago Bears Super Bowl victory with no pesky radio show the next day.

One materialistic thing you can't live without: My K-tel album collection, though my neighbors hate it, especially weekends at 3 a.m.

Favorite car you ever owned:’77 Ford LTD (maroon, with white landau roof)

Bad habit or vice: drinking PBR with Stechman

Favorite band ever: Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band

Best vacation ever: Wisconsin Dells, when I helped teach my daughter to swim.

Describe what you were like in high school - what you wore, what group you hung out with, what you wanted to be when you grew up. My wardrobe consisted or beer and weed T-shirts, a fashion statement that screams, “Loser.”  I was neither a jock, burnout or nerd: I was all three; thus, I was pretty much reviled by everyone. I wanted to grow up to be the third-baseman for the Chicago White Sox – I still do.

If you could punch one celebrity, who would it be and why?  I’m a lover, not a fighter.

Hannah Shea

Your hometown:  Belleville, IL

First job:  Babysitting the neighborhood kids is what I was first paid to do. Plant maintenance, odd jobs and labor at the garden center of an orchard was my first real job- I got a great tan with that job!

Last job before radio:  Sales associate at a diamond store - pushin' the bling
1st concert:  GooGoo Dolls when I was roughly 13 or 14...Sorry I'm not like Rain Man Markley that remembers the year, month, date, weather, and seat number of every concert he's been to. But I do remember that I was super excited because I loved them (still do) and I won the tickets on a TV contest!

What is your dream weekend?  One that doesn't end! Family and friends maybe a bbq or a short trip to a beach with nothing to do but relax and have fun

One materialistic thing you can't live without: The Internet

Favorite car you ever owned:  I've only owned 2 - neither were very exciting

Bad habit or vice: Jimmy Johns

Favorite band ever:  Queen

Best vacation ever:  I've been to Paris and the Bahamas, but the best vacation was to southern California, probably because it was less touristy and more laid back exploring the coast.

Favorite night spot:  Most frequented is Jimmy's or Kellehers. Favorite early morning spot is Richards for some cheese fries!
Most embarassing moment:  I block most of them out, but probably when I fell on ice walking to class at Bradley and fell on my face and broke my nose in front of only one person, but it happened to be a member of the Bradley Basketball team. I was slightly embarrassed, but still made it to class on time!

What is the one piece of advice you have been given that you have actually followed in life?  There are two that I try to follow: 1. My mom has always told me that 'it only takes one day for your life to change, so enjoy the ride and don't stress'  2. Before I started a 'career' in radio, a colleague told me 'Just because other people are unhappy with their lives/careers, doesn't mean they should bring you down or discourage you from making your life/career what you want it to be'.

What game show do you think you would be a good contestant on?  Most of them because I love watching them and have therefore practiced along while I watch, like with Wheel of Fortune. But I would be particularly good at Lingo, Family Fued, or Price is Right - mainly because those allow you more than one chance at what you're guessing and require no real knowledge.

What Web site do you visit every day?  yahoo or facebook

What is your definition of the perfect guy? Be specific!  Attractive, great sense of humor, faith, likes bacon, laid back, light hearted, nerdy but athletic, social, will put up with me watching cartoons, decisive, non-Cubs fan (eh, unless they are super-hot to make up for it), intelligent, fun, knight in shinning armor...What? Too Much to Ask?

After a $100,000 education from Bradley, do your parents look at your career path and think failure?  I can't imagine they wouldn't think so, but at least they tell me they are proud of me!
